The fourth of my small films (after Leon Redbone, Rickie Lee Jones, and John Lennon "Woman"), this continued my experiment of turning songs into narrative. In this case, it was two linked songs ("Mr. Sandman - which Emmy had recorded with Linda Ronstadt and Dolly Parton - and her solo version of a Rodney Crowell song "I Don't Have to Crawl.") In a simple story arc, we see Emmy and "Mr Sandman" fall in love and Emmy later leave when he falls short of expectations. It won an award at the Houston Film Festival.
