Music Video: John Lennon and Yoko Ono "Woman"

It's hard to look at this, even today, without pretty strong feelings. There's a lot more about this in Dear Mr. Fantasy. I didn't really direct this, since Yoko clearly was the control person. On the other hand she didn't have the time for detail work, which, you know, is in large measure what directing is.  So I would choose location, place the camera, tell them what to do.

I'll never forget watching Eddie Murphy being interviewed on one of the morning television news shows. He'd just directed some picture. The interviewer, I believe it was Katie Couric, asked him if he would direct again.  A pained look crossed over his face.   He said, "No, man. People are coming up to you asking you everything. Where you want em to put the chair, man, put the table." Right, Eddie.
