John Lennon Listening to the White Album. 1968.

When I selected images for my book, Dear Mr. Fantasy, in 1983-84, I discovered pictures that I had no idea were there. This image, in particular, became somewhat iconic for me.  I believe it is the only image I used more than once in the book, first under the frontpiece quote from Lennon "Was it all a dream? Was it just a dream?" and then as the next to last image in the book, following the closing line "John sang, 'You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one." This image also is the only image that I really live with - I have in the living area of my home (as oposed to the office.)
