After my first, serendipitous session with Mick Jagger in 1968, I stayed involved, photographing them consistently from 1968 through 1972. Often I was the only photographer present, as was the case for the entire 1969 tour, which includes some of my favorite work.(See LET IT BLEED**).

Arguably, however, my work from their 1972 tour (when many other photographers were present: Annie Leibovitz and Jim Marshall, among others) is even more well known: "Patience Please" and "Mick Makeup" aka "Mick Lips" both come from that tour.
I photographed the Rolling Stones' Rock 'n' Roll Circus, the Hyde Park Concert, covers for "Honky Tonk Woman" and "Through the Past Darkly" and other sessions: the recording of "You Can't Always Get What You Want," Brian Jones at his home in Cotchford Farm, etc. Photographs from all of this are included in "Rolling Stones Collections" listed to the right and isolated images not found in the collections can be found in the Store, where new images will be added on an irregular basis. Search on Rolling Stones.
**LET IT BLEED is frequently cited as the best Rolling Stones book ever, which, regardless of a such a hyperbolic statement, tells you something. I'm comfortable with the comments because I'm very proud of the book and recommend it highly.
