Hi Ethan. My package arrived! The anticipation of opening it bought back memories of childhood:opening presents at Christmas.Part of me wanted to rip the packaging open, the other, take my time so I could relish the moment when the picture would be finally revealed. The first thing that struck me was the depth of image.Suddenly I was transported to that stage in '72. Then my eyes were drawn to the flick of Keiths hair rising like two little devil horns skywards. This busy picture ! You catch Charlies hand as it is about to strike a cymbal....the permed bob of Mick Taylors hair...and the wily posture of mick over right stage. It feels like he is wearing a velvet polka dot one piece with silk sash! Now how can a picture convey the feel of velvet ? The iconic images of Coors, Jack and Coke then hit you...has Keith just had a slug or is he about to? The details start to emerge.....the raised rim of the Coors tin a la 1970's ...the iconic coke signature.....the re-tread ironing crease on Keiths shirt.... Then we slide our vision to the crowd... who are the guy and girl in the front intently fixated on Mick, wishing they were up there...and finally back to stage and the crisp shimmer that reflects from Charlies drums.....to the next question....how shall I have it framed...this is not a job to be rushed..I will savour the exercise of choosing the frame ...the shade of the mount...the museum quality glass it desrves..... For the moment ,its time to indulge in the picture...slap on the turntable a Stones cut from 72...probabaly " Can't you hear me knocking "....and slide away." Thanks. RW, England.
Here's what another customer said about his print: "It's f***ing gorgeous!!!"
And another customer said (3/2001): "As a very satisfied customer I want to encourage anyone thinking about purchasing a photograph of these artists and times to do it with Ethan Russell. When I decided to buy a print as a wedding gift for my future-husband (a big Rolling Stones fan) I came straight to this site. We both admire Ethan's ability to capture on film the undefinable, larger-than-life image of rock and roll and the musicians who live it. Dealing with Ethan has been a real pleasure. He was committed not only to delivering a perfect print, but also to making sure that I was happy with the process. I purchased this print when he first started accepting credit cards and there were a few glitches which he fixed immediately so that the print would not be delayed. Improvements on his website have made it very straightforward and easy to purchase prints. He went the distance to make sure that I was completely satisfied. We are absolutely thrilled with our print, the quality is amazing and it looks, to quote another satisfied customer, 'f***ing gorgeous' on our wall."
All prints are exhibtion-quality prints, individually hand-printed upon receipt of the order.
